If this is the case, reboot the thermostat by doing a 5 seconds press on the button on the bottom right corner until you hear a beep (see "How to reset Apple HomeKit on my Smarther with Netatmo connected thermostat?").

  • The connected thermostat cannot access the Internet via a public Wi-Fi network (hot-spot) or via a company Wi-Fi network, and these networks are therefore not suggested. If your personal Wi-Fi network does not appear in the list of Wi-Fi networks suggested, first check that your smartphone is within range of the Wi-Fi network, and move closer to the Internet router if this is not the case. If your Wi-Fi network still does not appear in the list of available networks, it is probably because it is hidden: manually enter your network's SSID (name).In case your connected thermostat cannot reach the Wi-Fi signal because he is too far away from your Wi-Fi router, try to install a Wi-Fi repeater in order to increase the Wi-Fi range of your router. You can also try to bring your Wi-Fi router closer to your connected thermostat, if that is possible.

  • The algorithm is your connected thermostat's 'brain' and allows it to make decisions and fire up the boiler based on: heating history, room temperature, setpoint temperature and the chosen heating algorithm.You can switch between the Hysteresis and PID advanced algorithm in the app settings: Settings > My Home > Room of your thermostat > My thermostat > Advanced settings.Hysteresis algorithmWith this algorithm, when the difference between the setpoint and room temperatures is within a given sensitivity threshold, the thermostat assumes the setpoint temperature has been reached.You can adjust the Hysteresis algorithm sensitivity threshold in the thermostat's advanced settings. If you use smaller thresholds (0.1 °C), the thermostat will be more responsive to room and setpoint temperature changes. With larger thresholds, the thermostat will be more tolerant to variations in these temperatures and will switch the heating on and off less often.NB: This algorithm is recommended for wood-burning stoves.Advanced algorithm (PID)The Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) heating algorithm is more intelligent than the Hysteresis algorithm, enabling improved temperature regulation with fewer oscillations around the setpoint temperature. It takes the specific characteristics of your home into account (thermal inertia, insulation, etc.).When you first install the thermostat, only the Hysteresis mode is available.Over the first few weeks of heating, the thermostat will determine the specific characteristics of your home, including its thermal inertia and insulation.The PID cannot be activated until the thermostat has completed this initial configuration.It can then be deactivated to switch back to Hysteresis mode.Comments • Settings can only be configured during cold periods, when the Thermostat is actively controlling the heating. • When the temperature in the home rises quickly, you are advised to use setpoint temperatures with several degrees' difference between Comfort mode and Eco mode to give the thermostat clear benchmarks. Specific issues • The advanced heating algorithm (PID) is only useful for systems with high inertia, and is therefore not recommended in cases where the standard Hysteresis algorithm is already producing excellent results (heated floors, etc.). • The advanced heating algorithm is not recommended for devices that require significant fire-up and shut-down times since this can adversely affect their good working order and lifespan (examples include pellet-fired stoves and some heat pumps). • The PID is automatically deactivated for all setpoint temperatures up to 14°C; there is no point in using the heating more often to turn it on or off when nobody is home. • For Netatmo Smart Radiator Valves, the system will automatically switch to PID mode once configuration is complete. Neither of the algorithms can be force-activated.

  • The Home + Control App enables you to give access to your installation to your relatives. Go to settings, select "Guests" and choose "Invite a user". They will receive an e-mail inviting them to accept the invitation. Once the application is downloaded, they will have access to your home via their smartphone. Once invited, they will get exactly the same access rights than the person who invited them (for example, invite new users, or remove existing ones). To remove the access to users, you just have to click on the cross next to the account you wish to remove the access to. You can also remove your own acces to the home. If the home’s creator removes his own access, the guests still keeps theirs.

  • The Home + Control Android application is downloadable from Google Play.Since May 2020, some smartphone models are no longer certified by Google, so they no longer use Google Mobile services and therefore Google Play.The Home + Control application use a set of Google services to function, so they are not compatible with another universe of applications and services.   • In the event of a power cut, your thermostat will no longer work. However, the product is designed to function again as soon as the power comes back on, and go back to the state they were in before the power cut. Please note that the thermostat can take a few minutes to reconnect to the Internet and be accessible again via the application.If you are cut off from the Internet, your thermostat will still work locally and will follow its schedule. During the outage: You can't control your installation via the Home + Control application or change the settings. You can however control and see the temperature directly on the thermostat. The Home App from Apple remains operational as soon as the local connection to the Router is maintained. You will automatically find all the features as soon as the Internet connection comes back on. Please note that the thermostat may take a few minutes to reconnect.Regarding the Netatmo Smart Radiator Valves, they will continue to work and will follow their schedule during a power cut or an Internet outage.   • The screen brightness of your thermostat is at its maximum level when your are using it. When your thermostat is in standby mode, the screen brightness is, by default, automatically adjusted according to the ambient light. It is possible to change the screen brightness of your thermostat in the Home + Control App : go to settings, select "Manage my home", select the room in which the thermostat is installed, select the thermostat and select "Advanced", then you will be able to put the screen brightness always off or to set a customized level.

  • We have defined the notifications that your installation will send to your smartphone in order to keep you informed about what is happening in your home when you are not there: "Low battery" invites you to replace your Netatmo Smart Radiator Valve batteries within a month. "Very Low battery" invites you to replace your Netatmo Smart Radiator Valve batteries as soon as possible.It is not possible to configure other alerts than those currently proposed in Home + Control App.

  • Before switching from heating to cooling mode, please ensure that your temperature regulation devices are compatible and that you performed all necessary manual actions related to this mode change.Switching your thermostat from heating to cooling mode is made through your temperature scheduling. In the Home + Control App, go to the settings and select "Schedules". On the temperature schedule screen, click on the name on top, then select "Cooling" tab.
